Emily is a kind, sweethearted girl who is often generous and selfless. She doesn't like to see others suffer, especially loved ones, and would do anything to help them. She's also very caring and loves children, and wants to become a teacher. She is quite religious, but not overly so. However, when she's possessed, she can be violent and have angry outbursts. She will become still and rigid for hours on end, but will also move rapidly for a long time as well. Basically, she becomes the total opposite of herself.

Emily grew up on her family farm with her parents and sisters. She was a kind girl as a child and she was given a scholarship to university. She went and things went okay at first. She settled in and made a friend, Jason. One night, while she was sleeping, she woke up and smelled something burning. Thinking there was a fire, Emily went outside her dorm and was surprised to find nothing wrong.

She went back to her room and tried to go back to sleep, but then was attacked by an unseen force. When it left, Emily screamed in terror and was eventually sent to the hospital. The doctors checked her and she was diagnosed with epilepsy, and later on, psychosis.

The doctors give her anti-seizure medicine, but it does not work as Emily continues to have severe body contortions and has hallucinations. She realizes that her condition isn't medical, but she is actually demonically possessed.

She returns to her home with her family and they ask Father Moore to perform an exorcism. Moore gets permission and the ritual is performed in Emily's room, until she escapes and ends up in the barn. It is revealed that Emily has been possessed by six demons - Cain, Nero, Judas, Legion, Belial, and Lucifer.

Emily has been to Aiode University twice. The first time, she left due to "sickness" (actually, possession). She returned after she was better, but got "sick" again and left. She has once again returned and hope this time, her stay will last a little longer.
